Coney Island Parachute Jump Necktie. Now a registered landmark, The Coney Island Parachute Jump (a.k.a. The Eiffel Tower on Brooklyn ) was originally built for the 1939 New York World's Fair. In 1941 the structure was moved to its current beloved site, then part of the Steeplechase Park amusement park. Although the ride stopped operating in 1968, it is still one of the most iconic structures in all of Brooklyn.
